Hi Mio,  You've peaked my interest !!! ... What did you suspect ?  .. And what things does it explain ?     Nothing here is a secret to anyone.

IRC is an open chat line .. for anyone in WGT.   A few of the folks in our country club started it over 4 years ago --- 2 years before WGT even had country clubs.      How do you think we formed the core of the club ?    In the 3 years since I've been involved lots of people come and go, and lots stick around and are there all the time.   75% of the conversations are about WGT, how to play the courses, improve your game, and how WGT overall could improve for the players.   The other 25% of the conversations sound like a cross between a high school locker room and a college fraternity house.

IRC has been advertised in the forums for years and on many profile pages (including mine).    I (and others) invite almost everyone I play an MPC or Alt Shot game with to stop in and chat if they like (as long as they stay in line with their conversation).  Give them a chance to learn from some of the folks who are really good at the game how to improve.   How do you think guys like Jake and some of the others learned how to play so well ???   By staying in a room all alone ???   Trust me --- they weren't always that good.

You sound surprised that in all that time anyone from WGT would know about IRC and take the time to stop in ???   All they had to do is read the forum.    If there are any other open chat lines out there which WGT knows about .. I would be surprised if they didn't pop in there also.   I read the forums regularly and I haven't seen anything  other chat lines being offered for open conversation.   Have I missed them ???

    Thanks,

    Hey ArrVeeAussie,

This post has confused me, maybe you can lend some clarification? You seem to be posting the answer to this question:

"I just found out this morning that someone is an admitted multi-accounter and had started a CC for other multi-accounters.  Check out the CC forum for details...  Please someone ask WGT why they would allow this"

    With this answer:

"If you decide to close your old account, yes you can start a new one."

WGTicon is not not saying multi-accounters are welcome, in fact he is saying if you close your account, you can open a new one, leaving you with only one account.

We do not condone multiple accounts, but if you want to close your one account and then open a new one (not more than one) account, that is perfectly fine, and we can assist you with that if you email us.

You may not condone multi-accounts but they are rampant at wgt and you have to know that. I don't have a suggestion in regard to an answer to the multi-account issue at WGT, but there ought to be something you can do about the 50 different Cheeze-nuts.

There is something that can be done, Bubba, and it was specifically addressed in the chat with MisterWGT yesterday. Here is a link to a copy of the chat (scroll down)

    Also - "Cheeze-nuts"? Sounds delicious.  :)

Also Nivlac started the WGT chat for a public place for ALL wgt'ers to come and learn about game. A lot of us were friends already when they started cc's. The name WGT was chosen so folks would recognize the name. We are not affiliated with WGT. Just trying to have a meet place. No ogre's or monsters. Maybe a Samsquatch now and then. Who knows what nots show up there. Ive had link on my profile for a while.        fuzzygazz
