andyson: Should lay to rest any claim that its all our computer's fault.
I took MisterWGT's response about the upcoming meter optimization solutions as being for the people who experience meter issues, and that it will not completely remedy a poor meter.
WGT can't see inside people's computers to see how they have it optimized.
I see the meter issue as being a user problem to remedy. WGT can offer optimizing solutions, but it isn't going to be a fix-all for the people experiencing a poor meter.
If I use nivlac's steps in his blog (along with other things) to have a smooth meter, then a smooth meter can assuredly be achieved for those players struggling with a poor meter. A poor performing meter does not lie on the shoulders of WGT, IMO.

There are three main actions that can be taken to potentially help eliminate a poor performing meter.
1. Reduce the number of programs
2. Reduce the amount of system software
3. Free-up and optimize as much RAM as possible
This is what I did to my computer and this game plays like it's on a disc for me. I only have six desktop icons and my Windows 7 OS is stripped down. I also use a good browser (just for the game) that enhances computer hardware to perform efficiently.
There are other things that players can do to help control a poor meter. They've been mentioned in the forums multiple times. Players have to actually perform these tasks to see an improvement with their meter.
