I forgot what time it was and missed it like an idiot!!

Is there gonna be a thread posted where we can view the whole Q&A session?

    Thanks

I could only catch the tail end of it, like the last 15 minutes. I can't recall any other game site that has that kind of live Q&A! All these WGT brow beaters have to even admit that.

It looks like we can really improve our game with a think tank chat room like that.

I hope lots of people read & find out whats going on at wgt & play  as well as support the game.

Maybe more folks will re=think the notion that wgt is on a mission to screw you outta expensive golf balls.

yeah well, i've always found that to be simply a blame-shifting, not to mention ignorant, notion .. and of course a self-defeating strategy to say the least .. ridiculous

Thanks for the transcript, my question was answered sadly I had to log off just before 3 as had work to do lol.

I thought it a great open forum and enjoyed it although I must say with the increase connection of the WGT team in the forum really not needed but great to have the op. to talk and see the future direction of the game.

I would like to add, because of this game I have took up real golf. I went from a Virtual Player with no clubs in real life, to having two sets of clubs and playing the game in real life.

Thanks Mister WGT and the whole team and keep up the great job.

    Mes.

I thank MRWgt for this simple statement about solving meter issues:

"we are working on a few optimization solutions that will address some of the most common situations;  but it will not address all."

Should lay to rest any claim that its all our computer's fault.

And thanks WGT for working on solutions to the meter problems in your design and code.

I took MisterWGT's response about the upcoming meter optimization solutions as being for the people who experience meter issues, and that it will not completely remedy a poor meter.

WGT can't see inside people's computers to see how they have it optimized.

I see the meter issue as being a user problem to remedy. WGT can offer optimizing solutions, but it isn't going to be a fix-all for the people experiencing a poor meter.

If I use nivlac's steps in his blog (along with other things) to have a smooth meter, then a smooth meter can assuredly be achieved for those players struggling with a poor meter. A poor performing meter does not lie on the shoulders of WGT, IMO.

    __________________________________________________________

There are three main actions that can be taken to potentially help eliminate a poor performing meter.

    1. Reduce the number of programs

    2. Reduce the amount of system software

    3. Free-up and optimize as much RAM as possible

This is what I did to my computer and this game plays like it's on a disc for me. I only have six desktop icons and my Windows 7 OS is stripped down. I also use a good browser (just for the game) that enhances computer hardware to perform efficiently.

There are other things that players can do to help control a poor meter. They've been mentioned in the forums multiple times. Players have to actually perform these tasks to see an improvement with their meter.

That maybe because STEAM et al, has not been in BETA for 3 years, and common frustrations that continue to re-occur within their forums usually are addressed or rectified in a short time.

I see this as a quick patch to alleviate the nay sayers and spread rumour of a forum in which the WGT listened.

    In fact it wasn't.

Lets have a locked thread - full guidlines with instructions & format of the questioning.

The second post in that  locked thread should be the minutes...   not a 'link' to someones offering of them.

    Bah....  all a bandaid IMO
