I would like to smack MisterWGT publicly, I already did in a PM. All this fuss over no British Open could have been softened by that marvelous announcement of new pins at Kiawah!!

That sort of stupidity deserves a forum ban. Just be thankful for what you've got.

I can just imagine YJ in a real life Press Conference with Chad :)

Would be something like this until the Dev Security jumped on him lolol.

    tbe

    BAH to RL&SA....

Bring on Muirfield next year is all I can say...."Muirfield wrote the original 13 rules of golf back in 1744 when YJ was just a wee laddie". This course has some history lol. Great that it's only a 30 minute drive from where I live. WooHoo.

    Watch The Video

Two circuits of nine rotate in opposite directions, the back nine looping inside the front nine, ensuring that the golfer is never faced with the same wind direction on two consecutive holes. As Jack Nicklaus once put it, “What you see is what you get.”

I, for one, appreciated the clarification concerning the British Open courses. I was grateful to hear that there is an ongoing relationship with the R&A. While it is a lot to ask a club to open up its course to the cameras and mapping and so on, if the relationship between WGT and the R&A were more clear and up-front it would help the clubs to think about the Virtual Open as more or less a package deal that comes with the honour of hosting the actual Open. Just as, when you host the Open, it is understood that you have to open up the course to the TV cameras, security crews, thousands of spectators and so on.

The clubs should come to see the quality of the WGT experience and think of the Virtual Open as a way to share and promote the whole golf experience with the countless, devoted fans who will never have a chance to play those courses in real life. It is not cheapening. It is a kind of educational, and good for golf.

There is an unbelievable amount of Old School snobbery amongst board members with these many of these uk championship venues......Muirfield 2013 may prove to be a very tough challenge for WGT....because the Muirfield Board are amongst the stuffiest....and it's a male only members GC which is sure to annoy female golfers here on WGT. FWIW...I think their male only policy is sexist and it sucks.

Wgt is the best way of Advertising of their courses to the World.

If I ever win the jackpot in a Lotto... I'm going to go on a Wgt World Golf Tour...lol, becase I love the courses I play on here.

Now if the powers to be at any club don't like that type of advertisement...so be it... and maybe their loss in the future.

The Excitement of people playing Oly at the same time they were watching the real comp on the telly... was priceless.

Lets Hope next year... It might be different :)

    Cheers

I am really disappointed I couldn't be there for the Q&A. As one of the heaviest users biggest no life saddos of WGT, I have a great interest in what goes on behind the scenes. I am absolutely delighted at recent steps to improve communication with the users; a lack of information and answers to the issues raised in the forums, was always a huge source of frustration.

I am also happy at the news there will be additional features added to increase the difficulty of the game. Longer standing users of the forums will know I have always been concerned at the continual club improvements which send the scores ever lower. Any feature brought in that requires greater thought and some shot making will maintain the interest in the game.

    Hi Pizza ,

I would like to know if there is a way to find out that Gifts that I send to Club Members( not

friends) has been received. I am a Club Owner and I organize Weekly Freerolls with a nice

Price Pool for Club Members! Not All of them are my Friends. If they Win at the Freerolls

and I Gift the Items 2 them , there is no Way 4 me to find out if they received the item.

Why you dont send a Message to me that the Player received the item?

    Greetings from Italy!

To be honest pilota it's a pretty poor show if the CC members that you send gifts to,don't have the manners to send you a pm saying thank you,or write a thank you in the club forum.

The fist Q & A went well imo. I was glad to be part of it. It's great to see  the community get together like that.

The format seemed ok. I was wondering if people had trouble getting onto site.  I have a link on my profile if needed. Im not sure if all knew how to send a pm also? Maybe a little how to. I think if mods reply "We got your question its being consider" or what not, people would know at least they got through. I liked the way you had the persons name next to their question also. Some have mentioned pre- asked questions? This may be good as to weed out the standard yes no answers and you may be able to just post the answers. My 2cents. Peace  Fuzzygazz
