I friend requested and posted on the wall of my opponent when the draw was first decided. We've both been online at the same time (and available) for the last 3 days but they haven't accepted my game yet..

Becyes, if you read this don't forget we need to get our game in. Hope we can play and chat soon.

I beat my second round opponent zak65, 9&8.

He was off today, and I somehow made a lot of birdies.

I have posted reminders on the walls of those still needing to play their 1st round games and haven't either posted on their opponent's wall or in this thread.

I was a little concerned about the round 3 course settings (Oak, blue tees) so I had a little go yesterday just to see what it's like, with a view to possibly changing it if it was too hard.  I played a few holes on the front 9 before getting another game invite which I had to accept.  Well, I didn't have to, but I wanted to.  Anyway, the few holes I played were not easy; par was a good score.  Later on I played the back 9.  8 pars and 1 birdie.  Again, not easy; not all greens are reachable in 2, but it is possible to score.  I think a par on a hole will be a good score a lot of the time and will win holes.  Birdies are achievable, but it will usually be with long putts or very good approaches.  The course will most definitely bring out the best in your scrambling abilities and knowing how the starter clubs and balls play will be a huge benefit.  The good thing is that all fairways were easily reachable, so I will leave the settings as they are.

    Hi!

Finished my 1st round match against Strykergeoff. A roller coaster of a match yesterday afternoon before we stopped tied after 16 and postpone the last 2 holes until today (my opponent had an important previous engagement, and neither of us thought the match would take that long when we started). And the 17th sure is a great hole to start evn after a 22 hour delay, lol. I was able to birdie it (cool as a cucumber and  incredibly lucky). We both shot par on the last one, so the score was Puholino 1 up after 18 (sorry, watched your video, Mio, a great one, but I still can't save and post the scorecard to save my life). Thanks to my opponent, you're a classy guy and great fun to play along side of! And it's true what someone already said here, BEWARE of those who use starters all the time, they know how to use them.

Gordon - I'd like to say yes, but at this point I think it would be unfair.  The reason is, say there were 3 games in the 1st round where someone couldn't get hold of an opponent, it would now be unfair for 1 of those players to have to play someone new whilst the other 2 get a walkover to the next round.

Some players had dropped out early in the week and at that point I might well have put you in one of those places, but I feel that it is just a bit too late now.

Make sure you sign up for the next one.

Just to let everyone know as a few players have mentioned it, I don't really need the scorecard to be posted.  I'm happy with just the score... so long as both players agree.

    Bracket has been updated.
