Teewilly, here are a couple of examples:
At the real St. Andrews it's common to putt the ball from the fairway for certain approaches...can't do that here.
On a real course when you find your ball on the fringe but nestled up against the second cut, it's common to "belly" a wedge instead of putting, or use a driver or fairway wood with a putting stroke...can't do that here.
On this virtual course, the higher level Cleveland 64° wedge with backspin can suck back 20 yds or more...can't do that on a real course (at least I can't).
On this virtual course, you can flop and even pitch out of sand...but you hardly (if ever) see those shots out of real sand.
