I'm on the green with different tempos, now certain. Only I have with the lateral calculations still significant problems. Does it make sense, from the different directions, to create east, west, south and north for a profile of each green?

This is about as technical as you're ever going to see here. Very comprehensive and might be worth reading through and see how it applies to what you're wondering.

    Gold's putting formula.

Yes the greens are tricky. All of your putts will be different , this is why ball placement is so important. You have too learn where to place the ball on the green , because location does matter.  The factors that you have to consider are slope ,speed, distance, break, elevation i.e. up or down. This is why practice is so important , because this is how you learn the courses from fairways to greens. You just can`t  go at a course without a game plan. You have to know where to hit and place your shots , in order to shoot a good score. Play stroke play rounds in practice mode, and work on those things that I have mentioned . Don`t just hit the ball, work on placement from tee to green and take your time. I hope this helps. Play well and have fun. Seeeeee Yaaaaaa.

If you get a putter with the Balance stat and Precision stat

higher, you will make more putts, improve consistency,

and reduce frustration.  You might not have to dedicate

time and energy to charting greens as much either with a

better putter.  (Recommendations: the Ping Redwood ZB

putter (either variety) or the TaylorMade Daytona putter)
