I start back in 9/2008 started playing more in 12/2008 and have played spurracticaly at best. The main things I notice. The speed of the greens seems really slowed down. I dont know what hole I was on but it was a 23 foot put and I hit it a lil before full blast and it came up 1.2 feet short. I noticed that the chipping is alot different. It seems to have been also degraded from a power perspective. That being from the fringe and also the fairway in front of the green. It seems to be alot more precise in numbers. I remember back when i first started playing and if a chip needed 12 yards you would use scroll down to the club that took 8 and adjust the swing to about 90% and it still might go past the hole. The slice and hook doesnt seem to be calibrated all that well either. I have noticed it has a mind of its own. Sometimes I can swing and be next to the bold white line. It will still travel off to the slice or hook a large amount. While other times i can be way away from the bold white line and it flies almost straight. Yes I look at the wind and also adjust accordingly.

My only suggestion that should be coded into the game. Well since it is common knowledge people want to feel like they are accomplishing things in a video game world or in this case the virtual world. That you employ the common features known as easy, medium. hard, master, and extreme levels. This controls the swing meter/shot forgiveness/putting. That way even the most dedicated of player can graduate up the ranks. Each tier has its own step up in hardness. So a level extreme hack would still be easier than a amatuer easy. Where each level you climb you can unlock new clubs to buy. You guys might want to look into offerpal or super rewards for survey's. This makes it so that people without spare cash or credit or deibt card can still get the perks of pay items. It is a system used often in open social markets such as Facebook, Myspace and Bebo. They have a good track record. It would generate quite a bit more in revenue to the game as well as giving the players what they want.

I will add my tier system here. Make it a set amount. Once you place in the top 100(0) in a tourney X amount of times you are moved to the next tier or you shoot X as a score. There is no median average score bases. This can and will alwayz be cheated by people so they can have fun beating lesser ranked people. Then you are automatically moved to the medium hack tier. Its pretty basic. Its really simple. It takes the guess work out of it. If prevents someone from shooting a low round then covering it up by shooting 5 bad rounds. The system has its own checks and balances. If you want better things and to unlock new clubs in my system you are encouraged to move up the ranks. It is called progress..........unlocks rewards......When using my system people want to see what is on the next level. The more stuff you can compile the lower you can possibly shoot.

Just so you know, there is no slice or hook built into the game right now. Stopping a little before or after the white line just means you mishit the ball, not added spin to it.

I think there are a good amount of new features coming along. By the time this is out of beta, I would imagine there would be numerous tiers, plenty of clubs, a good handful of courses, and plenty to encourage people to play more and move up the tiers. It's a work in progress right now and provided they address some of the issues people have before adding "fluff", I think this game will turn out alright.

    Mr  Mosherkl,

No disrespect but you must have missed something in translation. I was trying to say whether you hit way before or close to the bold white line. It doesnt seem to be calibrated correctly. You are entitled to your opinion about the rest of the review. The main objective of any game is to show profit. This involves adding features not everyone would like. I am giving a outside prespective to expand the game to a larger audience. To give the game the affordablity of doing a survey to get the same clubs upgrades as those with credit cards and extra money can afford. I will put it this way what you call "fluff" is what keeps the server speed fast, pays for bandwidth, advertising, coding, graphics, upgrades.

Just to take one thing you said and put it in perspective.

"I think there are a good amount of new features coming along. By the time this is out of beta, I would imagine there would be numerous tiers, plenty of clubs, a good handful of courses, and plenty to encourage people to play more and move up the tiers"

You say that exact key word "I think". Without input and ideas for growth we could believe the world is flat. It is those who think outside the box that keeps perpetual growth and development in every feild. Those ideas may not do 1 thing for the game but they may spawn a hot box idea that leads to a totally new feature. That why nothing anyones says to improve the game is stupid. 1 idea may produce that something special that makes the world of WGT better for all.

I think you missed something in translation as well. The "fluff" that will bring in profit is precisely the stuff that should be on the back burner during a BETA test, while gameplay issues are worked out. Rather than adding new features designed to bring in more money, most of the development time right now should be working out the gameplay bugs. I think (sorry, there's that word again) that WGT is doing just that, given the speed at which the latest update was deployed to address club sensitivity.

And I never said your ideas were stupid. My point was that I think (crap...there it is again) WGT is planning to implement something similar to what you suggested given the way they're already setup a tier system.

I have a suggestion.... I think each member should have a screen to tell you where you stand in all of the tournaments you entered... Free and Pay.  Just a thought, didnt look to see if this has been suggessted.

Slight miss hits do act like draws and fades.

I do this a lot to fight against the wind  also.

    mosherkl:

The result is the same. Because the ball doesn't actually curve in flight doesn't mean it isn't. BPB2 is a good example. If you "draw" the ball off the tee by hitting early it heads straight through the trees to land on the fwy. If it were a true draw you would actually see the ball bend around the tree line and wind up in the same spot.

OkieX has the right idea and it can be very useful if you think fade/draw in your shot execution. Fade a shot into a wind going at 2 o'clock and watch it carry. Set up a practice game in wind and check it out.
