Oakmont CTTH Hole 8

  The one from the bunker.  This has only started happening today for me.

  Always hit 9 iron (130 yds) at about 90% with backspin and made the green consistently (some shots closer than others).

  Now the same shot leaves me anywhere from 120 to 180 feet away. Ball never makes the green.

  Tried hitting 7 iron (160 yds max). Same thing happens.

  Has ruined 4 rounds where I had a great chance of breaking the 100ft in total score.

  LOL-That's pretty good confidence on being able to handle the ninth hole. You know-the one that kills every try for under 100!

  You might have a cache confusion. Try clearing your Flash cache. Stuff like that happens a lot after upgrades (not last night) when you buy a club and try it without clearing the cache. You don't always need to buy a club to have this happen, sometimes it just does.

  Have you looked at AvatarLee's replay for this hole?

  Suddenly I am getting it to 25 - 40 ft instead of 80 to 100 ft.

  Actually what I should have said above was of beating my best score of 128ft in Total.

  Will never know though unless hole 8 is fixed

  Not only looked at it I went there to try it. Found myself with a nice 15 MPH wind in my face and choked on the calculation. Oh man, a wind to die for there and gag the shot. Sheesh.

  Yep I'm having the same issue started this morning 5-5-10, the ball will only go 20 yards or so, tried clearing everything, no change even this evening. John Francis

  same here tried everything from 60° Wedge to 3I nothing went more than 100 ft away

  Yes, something broke at #8. TM 110 yd wedge used to get 3-4 ft away-doesn't even make green now.

  It started doing it to me around 11am pst on Tuesday the 4th... lol.  I was making green shotz like that 3-9feet ,I'm not as good as Yankee... haven't seen that green since.. .. this morning I was at 64feet going into hole 8...over 200 feet leaving....... neighborz heard me swear.. just happy to know I'm not the only one...
