It IS set up .... but only insofar as the pin placements, which are outside USGA and PGA tour guidelines.

And the 9th hole at St. Georges is virtually the mirror of 18 (where two feet right of the cup sends you to the bottom of the hill).

However, if WGT doesn't make the pin placements ridiculously difficult, where do the low scores stop? There have already been at least two 49s posted!   In real life, there is ZERO chance of that happening on the tour.

What they might do next is program variable winds to confound legends from breaking 50.

What IS rigged is that I read in forums that ball life is not charged against putts, but the new putting tourney certainly charged ball life! So I just switched to the starter ball and solved that annoyance.

Is it worth opening a thread for everytime something similar happens to each one of us?  Why not open a thread when, you setup the shot, miss the ding and yet gets within a yard of the hole!

LMAO this, also some other great points in the thread as well. Forget the -10 and WGT goofing up crap etc. Remember what happened, dont do it again aim right done. Do you have any idea how often I have had putts miss by inchs??? so many that if I posted a post everytime that happened blamin WGT I would be in competion with our friendly poster Jim (Yankee). Seriously you missed, it rolled whatever the reason let it go remember the outcome  and try to correct it next time. Course management is so important in this game. Good management will give you consistant results.

    Really simple,

    Mes.

You know that this game is set up..I played the week 27 18 hole single play at st. georges and was at -10 under goin into the last hole..i aimed just left of the hole with a 8 mph wind from left to rite..hit it perfect on the shot meter..and went dead left..went all the way down off the left side of the green..it took me 3 shots to get back up onto the green and i double bogeyed..finished at -8..pretty messed up there

next time you'll know not to bother moving the aim arrow with the same kind of wind on that hole. :)  moving aim arrow left means you need to hope the wind will move it and you don't hit early.

i.e....................better to leave a 3-4 yrd birdie putt from right of pin (easy putt) that risking being left of pin & in hell valley for the sake of getting a 3ft putt.

Ummm, Obviously he has a short game or he wouldn't have been 10 under going to 18

A short game doesn't get you to -10 silly boy, it helps you stay there... which sadly he didn't :)

I think we have all been down in that gulley Landshark lol, it takes time to figure what shot to get back up from there and save par, but that is why they're great players on here like Ace, Luis, Tess and so many more... they take the time to learn and don't blame...

Good luck on turning that -8 into a -13, it sounds like your well on your way.

    Woo Hoo

    Wrong...... !!!!!

It's well documented that once Kim Jong-il golfed for the very first time, at the tender age of 52,  and remarkably shot a 34 (38-under-par), inclusive of 11 holes-in-one. That's right 11 HIO's in one round - odds of this being 100+ gazillion to 1 according to statisticians.

Pyongyang media (state controlled news agency), stated that the round was witnessed by 17 security guards ( clearly under no duress). Furthermore, they specifically stated that it was 2nd nature for the late Kim to shoot multiple HIO's per round.

Clearly, you can recognize a great golfer when you see one.

Besides being an adroit golfer, his other well documented innumerable talents were a fashion sense envied by many, the ability to influence the weather according to his mood, an unmatched collection of foreign films, a body frame that excused him from the very essential human need to defecate, an awing ability to ingest copious amounts of hard liquor namely Hennessey and was the Company’s top customer worldwide. Man !!! This guy sounds like heaps of fun and just exuded eminence.

So the 49 issue in real golf can be put to rest. DONE !! LOL

You were never going to sympathy landshark, just smart *** remarks, and the odd helpful masculine comment.

I was in similar situation playing a 9 hole comp on the front at RSG, 8 under playing #9, so what do I do, knowing a miss to the right is not necessarily fatal, but not what I wanted. I just ensured a miss to the left, knowing any putt would keep me at -8 or possibly better.

Sometimes, as in RL golf, you have to protect your score.
