Is this VEM or is my ding broken?

  Just played the Kiaw 18 RG, had this shot on the 7th, placed my aimer on the pin and dinged the shot. So how is it off by so much? One the next hole (par 3)I missed the ding early by a hair, and went off the green to the left?

  I was -5 but withdrew out of sheer irritation and frustration.

  Is there something wrong on my side that I can fix?

  OK, this is just a theory I've heard. Whenever this happens to me, and I've had several very similar, I immediately clear cache. Does the trick. The theory is that every now and then stuff from one round bleeds into the next, so what may have happened to your shot is that it was affected by wind from a previous round.
