    hi

best to practice, but I would personally say that since starters don't have much spin, it won't affect them much.

I have no measure, but at least they have an effect.

From my memory, with Starter balls, it's the difference between a roll over a full green or half of it.

With custom balls it's quite a bit better.

I have tried moving dot on ball own to max to get spin on ball. does not work. getting tired of ball rolling 20 or more  yrds. this is very frustrating. clubs dont go the distance they should go. about to just stop playing period.

If you don't allow for the way your equipment performs, the equipment isn't the problem, you're the problem.

The starter ball has no dimples, so there is nothing for the club to grab onto to impart backspin.

But the good news is, the starter ball never wears out, never gets lost, and doesn't cost any credits to get.

Why not try some surveys. You can then buy all new clubs in no time.

Full Backspin, level fairway, light winds, starter ball, starter irons

(These numbers are for landing on a fairway, not a green. Different green speeds will have a drastic effect on the amount of roll)

    3i flies 162 rolls out to 172ish

    4i flies 153 rolls out to 161ish

    5i flies 144 rolls out to 150ish

    6i flies 135 rolls out to 140ish

    7i flies 128 rolls out to 132ish

    8i flies 118 rolls out to 121ish

    9i flies 107 rolls out to 109ish

pw virtually indistinguishable with b/s or not.

changing any factor; clubs, ball, wind, elevation, landing area, green speeds, etc, will alter these numbers.
