     I'm HACK 70.49

      I shoot par and my rating goes up???????

     Par is 36.  Multiply times 2 and it equals 72.

     We play 9 holes currently.

    Our averages are based on 18 holes.

    Take your 9 hole score, multiply times 2.

    That's your 18 hole average.

    If you have a 70 average, it means you are averaging 35(1 under par) for 9 holes.

    So, if you shoot par, which is 36, that equates to a 72 over 18 holes.

    That's why your average went up.
