I agree with the above too. But, a lot of players play nothing but STA to get to Legend; I did too. And it's not a case of 'beating the system', you have to look at your own play. Let's look at a typical game on STA front 9:
Hole 1: Driver, wedge.
Hole 2: Driver, wedge/short iron.
Hole 3: Driver wedge.
Hole 4: Driver, short iron/ wedge.
Hole 5: Driver, on green in 2 or wedge for 3rd.
Hole 6: Driver, wedge.
Hole 7: Driver, wedge.
Hole 8: Par 3.
Hole 9: On green with drive or wedge for 2nd.
So, looking at the above, if you can't score 30 or better, then your problem is either with your approach play (not getting the ball close enough to the hole) or your putting is poor. Realistically, 99% of your approach wedge shots should be within 10ft maximum, and then you need to work on your putting so that 10ft'ers become a gimme. Go find a green on STA (not #1 or #9 as they are too easy) and practice a few putts from one spot, hitting backwards and forwards to understand how wide to hit for that distance and dots moving at that speed. And just like in real golf, learn where you don't want to be on the green that would give you an impossible putt!!
Yes, there are deviations, but there is no 'system' to beat; to be able to consistently score 29/30/31 you simply have to practice and learn from your previous mistakes.
