going into St.Andrews final round this weekend i needed 62 to guarantee me a $100 gift card, 60 to be top spot and $200, it felt a lot more pressure playing this round than usual, knowing there's a decent prize in my grasp, and guess who started to choke??? 5 foot putt for birdie on #1 and the nerves made me press way early and miss, let alone on #2, a 3 foot putt for birdie yes 3 FOOT! where i didn't hit ball hard enough for the steep break, something in back of my head told me not to hit it too hard just incase i'm then left with 9 footer!! any way, i end up 3 putting ANYWAY. Now this is where i need some one from U.S who has a gun to shoot me, and put me out of my misery, but it even went worse before it got better!!! #3 was a chance to get stroke back and i land 8 yards short! SHould i withdraw all ready?? Any way, the WGT gods took pity on me and i sunk that 25 footer and it gave me a boost to go on and birdie all but 1 hole for front and gave me hope and got my usual game and putting back! Any way i managed to get 2nd (so far) If i hadn't of choked the first 2 holes I could be celebrating $200.
Thanks WGT.. These Single play tournaments destroy those unlimited garbage, their much more intense and fun and just for a slight moment today i got the feeling similar to the pro's when playing down the back 9 of nerves and joy. Keep them coming.....
