    Tresclub:
    * "...100 additional rounds..."? If these <60 avg players never play anything but tournaments, how long do you realistic think it will take for them to accumulate 100+ rounds?  100 tournaments I guess.  One tourney per week, 100 weeks.  LOL

This would take a RG grinder about a week.

Here's my feedback/question about the new tier.  It was suggested that WGT uses more then just score to determine your tier, and shortly they will be using tournament wins as well, why not add MPC wins, as well.

Secondly, to me the 100 rounds seems arbitrary if you are already under a 60 average, therefore meaningless.   Play 100 rounds and make tour legend, no real work or reward involved.

My current WGT average is 58.65, again an arbitrary number, not relative to skill level, but rather potential or a combination of only my best scores.  Why not for tour legends revert back to the old average system giving us a more realistic look at the players in this new tier?

Lastly,  WGT is doing an amazing job with the recent openness and involvement in the community.

    Cheers,

    b0gey

P.S I vote Wolf Creek as the site for the WGT get together!!!

They're creating a tool for them to use and expand on.

They have a tool, they just don't want to use it. Some equipment is tier based already, like the Legend balls. They create nothing new.

    SamanthaWho:

<MisterWGT> In the Sept release, L65+ equipment will only be available to Pro+ players

<MisterWGT> this is done to address many of the concerns re: lower-tier players using upper-tier equipment.

I asked him in chat room an got no responds,,,, the problem start's right at level 58 with the G20ty's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  level 57 equipment an down should only be available for Pro's an Tour Pro's an level 58 to level 83 for Masters an Tour Masters,, an if u make legend before them levels every thing should be open for a legend to buy!!!!! How many times an How many people need to repeat them self's to get the point across,, not trying to sound rude or anything but come on,,,,, this does not make sence.......

also one more thing that was talked about in the chat to stop sandbaggers yall said u have a new system where if they place it the top ten or what ever it is in a turny it will move them to the next tier that is just big old red light for them saying stop playing turny's an stay playing MP an SKINS for credit cause they are not ranked which i believe all games should be set for ranked other then in practice mode an altr shot..........

SO MY QUESTION IS HOW IS ANY OF THIS HELPING THE PROBLEM????

WOULD LOVE TO SEE THE ANSWER TY.....

I was just thinking that myself :)

I don't play a lot now so 100 rounds will take me a year.

I really don't see what this accomplishes.

"So this will create the structure that clubs/equipment will be tier-based..."

This is what I saw as relevant to the existing problem. They're creating a tool for them to use and expand on. I don't believe much is going to be done about existing situations other than promote but as they fine tune their efforts we should see less and less of the problem.

TY YankeeJim I missed that line in quoting Courtney.  This is good news.

@Tightrope - perhaps the structure is in place for balls but not clubs.

Doubt that very much. The clubs also have a minimum tier "stamp" in the shop and it would be pretty bad programming to have different kind of behavior for objects that have so much in common.

Actually, I just had a look in the shop and found this:
    WGT Iron Set

    Level: 0+
    Tier: Pro+

Agreed, It would also provide more relative feedback to other players.

Secondly, resetting the stats would be more indicative of your current level of play.  I would like to see this after reaching each tier.  The more rounds you have played with the current system skews the stats.  Preferably, a moving stat system using the last 300 rounds would be better.

Tour Legend and the new improved Sandbagger Legend

I was going to comment on the same thing.

I'm a low 60.xx average Legend and am hardly considered one of the best of the best players, and I play ranked rounds for the most part.

I could find myself in the Tour Legend tier in as little as a few months. I'm not going to change my stride at all, and if I wind-up in the mix with the best of the best, then so be it. I've always welcomed the challenge of the next tier. I'll just have to get used to the leader-boards cellar for awhile. lol! : )
