Karma Levels in the forum

  WGT can you please offer Karma points for people who post helpful tips and what nots (sorry Yancy I am from Da Bronx and I talk funny)

  But it would create a forum atmosphere in a positive way because if people earned points (creidts) for helpful posts , people would be less likely to troll or post negative things (take Karma points away) .

  Yes it would be an extra task for forum moderators but alot of the work is automated . This would require a forum upgrade of course.

  OK maybe its a stupid idea but trying wont hurt nuttin.

  It would work and would definitely limit trolling and negativity. (Users should not be allowed to add or subtract Karma) That would not work because some people are just haters no matter what you say or do.

  Not all are adults or at least they dont act like ones at times.

  Karma points are nice, but who would set up the scoring?

  Adding up is easier:

  A future version of this forum might include "like" buttons to be clicked by the other users, a summary to be shown in the users' profiles.

  Karma points can very quickly lead to a poisonous atmosphere especially if it's possible to take away as well as give. I'd advise anyone who runs a forum to steer well clear.

  Do i get points for this tip:  When on the tee, turn 180 degrees then hit your ball as far as you can for a mystery prize  (instant cash cow for WGT) would WGT think of this as "good" Karma or "bad" Karma?   I would get bad Karma from other players, but WGT would sure as hell benefit in ball sales

  It would have to be run by a moderator who is just and fair for it to work. Chris +1 Karma for you :)
