I really like the Putting Challenge. I think it serves two much needed purposes.
One, for the less experienced, who need practice putting, it allows them to do just that, and in a fun, competitive way. I think it eliminates any need for a putting green.
Two, once we've played it a few times, it gives more experienced players a nice, pretty mindless warm-up. I love being able to get my clicking fingers zoned in, without having to do any calculations.
That being said, I don't think we need many of them. Maybe one more, but without a make it or miss by 10 feet 1st hole.
I would, however, love to see more challenges for other specific skills.
A Chipping Challenge, with true, just off the green chip shots with good, fair, and bad lies.
A Pitching Challenge, for pitches, flops, and short punches, from good and fair lies around the green, but not close enough to chip.
A Short Hazard Challenge, bunker and medium/heavy rough shots from around the green.
A Long/Fairway Hazard Challenge, with sand, medium/heavy rough, fescue, wood chips, etc. shots.
An Approach Challenge, iron and full wedge shots from the fairway and light rough.
And maybe a Wood Challenge, tee shots from long/Legend tee par 3s and short/Master tee par 4s, and par 5/long par 4 fairway/light rough approaches.
And have them available to CCs, and as regular ranked and practice rounds, where the user can set the conditions, as well as WGT tourneys.
Once again, I think these would provide great practice for those who need it, and a great way to warm up for others.
