Go to menu, go to options, scroll all the way to the bottom, turn off, hit save. Unfortunately, at some point it will turn itself back on so you'l have to repeat above steps. The only sure way to get rid of the damn thing is to use a starter ball and max out on every green until you have used up your 100 free hits. :)
