Does anyone know what is going on with how your AVG is being figured now?

I have been at my tor master level for several months and to the oint thatit takes a -4 to even bring my avg down a little. Came on yesterday, played 9 holes+2 and my avg jumped up from 64.58to 64.78!!!!!!!! This all came about after you down period.....I'm not the only person that has had that problem......what's with it???????????

In these days since the update I scored a few -7 (on 9 holes) and avg didn't move, -4 (on 9 holes) and it got UP 0.01, -6 (on 9 holes) and it didn't move, -13 (on 18 holes) and it didn't move, another -4 (on 9 holes) and it got UP another 0.01 :) It was going down 0.01 or more with each round before the update for me (at least with each round scoring -4 or better on 9 holes) Maybe one needs to score -18 to see it go DOWN? :D

It seems that avg can only go UP for me, maybe they want to make it more realistic (which is a good thing I think), but this way whoever didn't get under avg 60 before the update won't probably ever reach the new Tour Legend tier. It looks like it will be a restricted tier for the ones who could lower their avg under 60 before August? Or it will be a 100 rounds for all tier like this and then it will drop down quickly like it used to be before?

What was supposed to be for the ones with avg under 60 to reach the new tier, impacted every other tier with any avg as well?

    • When your average score is equal or smaller than 100 you go from hack to amateur.
    • When it is equal or smaller than 80 you go from amateur to pro.
    • When it is equal or smaller than 72 you go from pro to tour pro
    • When it is equal or smaller than 67 you go from tour pro to Master
    • When it is equal or smaller than 63 you go from Master to Tour master
    • When it is equal or smaller than 61 you go from Tour master to legend
    • When it is equal or smaller than 60 you go from Legend to Tour Legend*

    and

    • you need to play at least 5 ranked rounds as hack before reaching Amateur
    • you need to play at least 10 ranked rounds as amateur before reaching Pro
    • you need to play at least 20 ranked rounds as Pro before reaching Tour pro
    • you need to play at least 25 ranked rounds as Tour pro before reaching Master
    • you need to play at least 40 ranked rounds as Master before reaching Tour Master
    • you need to play at least 50 ranked rounds as Tour Master before reaching Legend
    • You need at least 100 ranked rounds as Legend before reaching Tour Legend

Notice that those minimal number of ranked rounds are also the number of best rounds used to compute your average in that particular tier. So if you are Tour Master for example, your average is computed with your best 50 ranked round (that's why you need at least 50 rounds to move up).

    SHRUDE:

Won't this be 500?  I was assuming the extra rounds would be added to the 400 currently needed to reach satuartion.

It seems a bit unfair if someone who has been legend a while and played over 400 rounds still needs another 100 to reach the new tier while someone reaching legend tomorrow need only post 100 good scores to get there.

There seems to be a distince lack of light being shed on this subject by WGT, maybe the bulb blew and they can't find the stepladder in the dark.

    Have a  question.

I recently played my 400 ranked round as a Legend a few weeks ago. After the update,  my average went up a bit after I played a bad round, do I have to play another 400-500 rounds again?
