Here's what happened in a nutshell with the Chrome browser.

Adobe Flash updated to this version of Flash player (Released 8/02/2012) Flash Player 11.3.300.270 (63.4 MB).

This is the version everyone should have (right now) to play this game with any browser, (Released 6/21/2012) Flash Player 11.3.300.262 (35.1 MB).

View all versions of Flash player here.

First of all I would like to say sorry to WGT for this post....When i posted I was extremly pissed off! and now I have learned that apparently it isn't their fault but chrome's fault (the browser i was using!!) I have been playing for two years and really enjoy the game.

In saying that it would have been good to maybe get some warning when they became aware of the problem..we all hate losing balls!! & money. being not that computer savvy I thought it was a small glitch hence why i kept trying, thinking it would pass as it has in the past i.e. jumpy meter.

In saying all of the above thank you for replying to my post WGT and everybody else for your replies & help. as I said ...bloody great game!!!

So maybe you should write to Adobe or Chrome to see if they will reimburse you for your loss since it was their fault.

WGT writes their programming to work on the Flash platform, not the other way around. Therefore, in my opinion, the responsibility to assure that WGT works on the Flash platform rests on the shoulders of the WGT programmers. New releases of Flash are available to programmers before they are released to the public, specifically so programmers can make changes to keep their sites running properly. The fact that WGT CHOSE not to do the necessary testing before their latest update does not absolve them of responsibility. It also speaks volumes that WGT was mute about the problem until the players using the forums found the root of the problem and the necessary fix. The only reasonable way to blame Adobe would be if every other site using the Flash platform had similar issues, which is not the case. Again, just my opinion.

Here again to set the record straight... In reality it wasn't WGT or Adobe Flash that Caused the problem. It was Chrome adding Pepper Player that was incompatible with Flash... If it was WGT's compatibility working with flash then all browsers using the Flash plugin would have been affected, which they we'rent. So IMO your statement of them CHOOSING not to do the proper testing is once again an uninformed assumption to blow off steam & not correct.

They didn't know. How would they know that Chrome was going to add something to their browser that wasn't going to work well with flash??? Especially when all 3 updates happened almost at the same time.

welcome to the modern day internet.

today's pace dictates the speed at which rivals will push out product updates/new improved faster browsers loaded with useless crap that create instability and who'd rather deal with and subsequent issues in real time just to have their product out there with the rest of their competitors.

get over it......it's not like the world has ended.

i see a ton of complaints in this forum, but can't find any wgt'ers who've posted in the flash forum, chrome forum or firefox forum......when in fact it's these guys who've screwed folks over.

Not so fast. Who says anyone is using their WGT user name in a different forum?
