Round 3 Cut
The driverless challenge facing all the WGF players has seemingly but many in a spin this week. Last week’s champ, TonyTurbo78 was heard to mutter into his post-round pint to his good friend My Daly that the Tour management team were sadistic not allowing him to use his big stick (or to wear his patented rainbow leopard print pants that he proudly wore last week).
Leading the way is the early season pace setter, xxXxMarcxXxx. His recent move to the Transgressional CC seems to have worked wonders on his game and he has steamed to the front of the leaderboard with a total of -14. There are many leading names in hot pursuit and perhaps the most ominous sign is that Priestess is starting to feature highly in nearly every single tournament. After a slow start to the season (with stories of wild partying with Lisa03 and Kurtsbuford running wild throughout the press), she’s seemingly knuckled down and is starting to produce the level of play that saw her steamroller every player in WGA 2011.
The intense battle at the top of the tour standings between LuisCraveiro and AllyKennedy is sure to continue with both featuring prominently in the standings.
Remember that tour qualification points now continue all the way down to the final player who made the cut. Make sure you fight hard for places as that 5 extra points could be the difference between making the tour finals and not.

Equipment Restriction = No driver allowed
Tour legends have been paired together where possible but please use markers if you can’t organise a suitable time to partner each other.

With a slight lull in proceedings, the WGF Tour Management have decided to create an immediate overlap with each week going forward. This means that once the cut has been made on the previous week’s event, the next one will aim to open with immediate effect. WGF players can therefore start Week 7 straightaway.
Week 7 of the tour sees us heading over to the newly created Ford Active Assist Challenge. Our sponsors this week, have insisted that their “driverless technology” is tested out on the WGF Tour players. This will mean that no drivers are allowed to be used during this week’s tour event.

All players will need to post a screenshot of their clubs to show that no driver has been included in their equipment (screenshot to be taken from 5th hole of round onwards).
A final greenshot and card is required as standard. Warnings / penalties will be given if a player only shows their equipment outside of the round in question or if no image is shown. Course conditions are as follows:

Course = BPB Front 9
Hole Location = Medium
Tees = White (Medium)
Green speed = Fast
Winds = Moderate
Equipment Restriction = No driver allowed
Round 2 Conditions
Course = Congressional (Back 9)
Hole Location = N/A
Tees = Champion (Hardest)
Green speed = Slow
Winds = Low
Equipment Restriction = No driver allowed
