bit of advice re setting up tourneys please...

  Hi all. 

  No probs with the 'standard' stuff, but need some help setting up 'specials' within my CC.

  eg, earlier this week I set up a 'one club only' tourney, with clear instructions both on the tourney page, and on a CC forum posting. All went well, until 3 or 4 players dived in with a full bag of clubs, and made a mockery of the whole thing :-(

  So...is there a way to set up this (or similar) types of tourney, where it won't get taken over by people that don't read or abide by the 'rules' and/or spirit of the game.

  In particular, I'm wondering if it can be set up as an 'invitation only' tourney, where applicants have to be approved first, and agree to play fairly...or something like that anyway ;-)

  Open to all/any help and suggestions please.

    One thing for a tourney like that is make it mutiplayer game. posting the scorecards. Unless both members wants to cheat the system, this might work. You as the owner of the club could set up the pairings. You will just need a CC thread going to start the tourney, show the pairings, and everyone posts a scorecard there.

    Other than that, not sure how you can control what clubs they are using.
