Like a fool. I played in 106 heat at my club. Lasted 7 holes. It sucks, I was 2 under. Went directly to the 19th and ordered a Tom Collins (2 ) and all was well.

I can relate to playing in the heat. A friend and I play in Palm Springs all summer to take advantage of the low prices and no crowds on some very good courses. Last weekend it was 112*F when we finished at Escena. Had my best round in about 3 years.

We freeze Gatorade and water, letting it defrost as we get around the course. We also keep things like Powergel cold in the cooler. A Ziploc with a few packets of something like Crystal-lite helps flavor the water if it does start to get a little warm. Parking the cart in the shade when possible is a must. Full brim is a necessity on the hat.

We enjoy it and only had one episode where it turned in to a "death march." That was on Cimarron when it was over 120* about 4 years ago.

103 here today...but had I been on the course even 5 over after 3...I'd have played it out.

    Love this (real golf) game!

    This one too;)

I was in Vegas about 10 years ago at a conference, those of us who got in early were set up to play golf the afternoon before we started.  We teed off at 1:30 and it was 112 degrees, one of the other conference attendees was a light skinned blonde lady from Toronto, who mentioned it had been a little under 60 when she left.  I told her she might want to pass on the round but she was ready to play.

After the third hole, they playing one group ahead of us and turn around and bring her back, she had a mild heat stroke and went back to her hotel where as she put it she passed out on the bed and woke up at 7:30 just in time for dinner.

I think I consumed about a dozen bottles of water during our 5 hour round along with four bottles or gatorade.  The dry heat theory didn't apply that day and the fact that it was a slow round didn't help either.

We finally got relief from the massive heat toady here in Illinois. We're going to have low 80 degree weather for the next several days. Maybe the pool water will chill from bath water temperatures. lol

We had 24 straight days of 106+ degree temperatures. The vegetation is dead, and the grass is completely brown. My flowers wilted in late June. lol!

SweetiePie, you live in a location of California that is supposed to be in the 70s and 80s year round, right?

It is true, the 90+ humdity killed me. I have played in Palm Springs many times, my Father owns a large condo at the Legend club and I stay there  quite a bit. But weather in Palm springs  is usually dry. Play Big Horn. I like Ironwood the best.

My Goodness... 35C at 8.20am, now that is some heat...

We are freezing down here.. Melbourne Australia   It was 9C (50F) the other day, not as cold as some places, but cold enough for me...lol

What we do when it hits 35C (105F), Sweetiepie, we drive to the golf course, with a designated driver, go into the Carpark, get outa the car... to judge the heat and then just go straight into the Clubhouse for few Beers and then a few more Beers....lol

I think it's going to be a hot summer for us this year, by the look of things.

I hope not as hot as a few years back when it hit 47C (125F) ..hmmm

Last year was a washout in Sydney, non stop rain all summer, then we got some warm days toward winter.

Marble Bar is the hottest place in Oz. i was there for 3 days and it never got under 52C (125F)  (47C = 115F)

I remember playing a round at Belair in Adelaide.

We mistakenly took cooler bottle of white SANGRIA with us, it was HOT.. 40ish..  we drank the refreshing Sangria far too quick.. we finished 11 holes.
