Hi Mike,
That shouldn't be happening. The Anser and Starter have 2 distinct meter speeds. I might recommend clearing your caches as a good first step. Sometimes when there's "weirdness" like that a simple flush will take care of the issue.
Click HERE and follow the instructions to clear both of your caches (browser & flash). Once you've done that you'll need to make sure to reset any in-game preferences you might have changed before such as Flagstick Animations or Graphics Quality.
Hopefully it is something simple or just a conflict in cached files. Let us know if you continue to experience a problem after performing this task.
