Why can't I play a pay course with a friend without Challenging?

  I tried to play a match play game with a friend this morning at Cabo and after we payed our 40C to play it wouldn't let us start the game without putting out another 100C each to challenge. Why is that? Can't we just play to play and not have to pay another 100C?

  hi

  you can play cabo without challenge. just select multiplayer mode from stroke play and invite your friend :)

   

  multiplayer --> create game --> select course  --> stroke play --> confirm settings --> create game  ---> invite friend --> pay green fees --> tee off :)

  We were trying to play a match game. It is a format we both enjoy as it allows us to have a bad hole and not face too bad of a deficit to come back from. It it only possible in stroke play?

  What about match play, rated or practice? Impossible at Cabo?

  Get a 3rd player & go for a skins match ? might then have no deficit after bad hole..Andy

  Skins isn't really my favorite format but thank you for the idea. I don't know if skins would require a challenge as well. I just want to be able to play a match game without having to challenge.
