im sick of playing a game with players who get a bad score and the quit on there turn and

no one can take the next  shot.

can we penalized players who quit.

they might think twice next time..

    Totally agree.

Given that a player has options such as forfeit to give up gracefully, I can only conclude that those who just disconnect and don't come back are either rude, ignorant or downright malicious.

Yep,no arguments here 'Graham'..but what ya gonna do ? As has been said before, anyone's right to quit, with or without valid reason/excuse..I find the NOT 'rude/ignorant' ones will 'post & apologize' on ya wall...the 'malicious' ones will always be, just that I guess....Andy

I notice it all the time when I am playing stroke with different people. Its their loss seeing as there missing out on very good xp. But when us players are missing out on XP too when we do finish the round seeing as players disconnect.

The sensible thing to do would be for WGT to change the system so when someone disconnects when it is their turn to play, it doesn't lock up the game for everyone ese. Seems to me that would be a simple change.

Sensible Bob yes,easy.. guessing not ?If they were to do something like that..then take consec days points off em & can't get back in for 2/3 hours..mind you plenty of times I've been 'bounced' through no fault of my own...probably something we will have to get used to (L89 & I still hate it) but like other poster says..@ least give xp points to other players (quite important @ lower levels) ?  Andy

A couple months ago I was having modem problems and would get kicked off and might not get a connection for 10-12 hours.  It's very frustrating (particularly when you're ahead).

I just quit playing multi-person games until the cable company fixed it.

Sometimes you can tell, though.  I was playing a guy, had him down 4 after 4 holes.  He just disconnected.  I'm pretty sure it wasn't an accident.  At the very least, one can bring up the menu and concede the match, if it's gotten out of hand.  I mean, we all make bad shots from time to time, and sometimes one right after another.

Best to just be courteous, tell the opponent you're going to concede the match, and move right along.

There seems to be an epidemic of rudeness these days, though.  Pity.

This discussion has gone on since WGT started. Join a CC and play them, pretty tough for a CC member to quit on you  IMO

I agree with Hewsey. If you get into a good CC, like I was lucky enough to do, the more experienced players are always helpful, encouraging, and friendly. Since I joined, my pleasure in this game has increased dramatically.
