I'll start off with I'm a little dense...lol I have never really paid any attention to the avatar movements until recently. I noticed when the club is straight back towards you that is is exactly half the meter power. I then used a measuring tape and noticed what looks like an avatar movement for 75% and 90%. I counted 11 times the club moves to a different position.

I wanted to verify from others this information and see what percentage of the meter is for all the movements on a full shot.

This is what I see as a rough calculation

    6th movement - 50%

    7th 60%

    8th 70%

    9th 75%

10th 80% Unsure of this one.

    11th 90%

What you should do is divide the distance of your club by the avatar movements and it gives you a rough estimate of how far the ball will go. Depending on wind, elevation and ball type. After for find the number of movements of your clubs it is easier to take the swing meter to the top and count down rather than trying to count up. I know for example that my 64 degree Cleveland punches to 50 and has slightly over 10 movements so if i am faced with say a 45 yard shot i take the swing meter to the top then drop down 1 movement and adjusting my spin in accordance to wind and or elevation come pretty close to my target. Many players had this down to a science with the Cleveland wedges with all shot modes until WGT cut the avatar movements by 1/2 about a year ago.

Wouldn't it be better to take a percentage of meter power to the club instead of avatar movements for each individual shot?

Also, I was hoping to confirm if my quick calculations per avatar movement is close?

    Thanks

That's my method, Buck - % of full meter, via hand-drawn scale under my screen. The top club set (to me anyway) of R11 wood/irons and CG15 wedges, and Method putter are all very precise for distance, at least down to ~75% power for the clubs and over the entire range for the putter.
