What's great about it ? The fact that its sooooo much easier to lose the 600 credit balls ? What a joke 1400credits for 3 MAX balls & an AVATAR ! This games getting way to expensive for me these days iv'e started playing alot less & if this does get added to all ranked games well its been fun but ill be playing alot more snooker. Others may like it just not me personally  ! Few other nice updates but this one ain't for me just another fly way to to make more cash. The balls don't last as it is without hitting them in the weeds every game.   Smoke.

    Lmorgan007:

Happy with most of the improvements, but the gift card one still makes me laugh.

That there existed such a thing as a subway gift card amazed me and apparently theres a BK one too.  Now I like a whopper with cheese as much as the next person but do people really buy these cards and send them as presents?  WTF

You would be surprised how many of these they do sell. They even sell them at most major retailers here in the U.S. like Wal-Mart, K-mart, and Target. I did a little snooping around on the net and found out that in 2010 fast food gift card sales totaled around 10 million cards! Who would have thunk it huh?....LOL.

As for the new product releases, All I can say is...Multi-player lobby for stroke play games...IT'S ABOUT FREAKIN' TIME!!  Thank you.

WGT have said they will be monitoring the forums to see how we react to the new updates. Im only giving my own honest opinion here on the new lay system. I dont like it 1 bit, its way to unrealistic, and needs to be tweaked big time.

For example: RSG hole 5, my drive using the 3 wood ends up in the rough (which i planned for testing), and then my approach shot is from 25% rough, with the lay going to the LEFT. I figure i have to aim right to counteract this. The wind is a direct 11mph Left to Right wind. Im thinking the wind will counteract the lay, but having gone through a few holes already in testing this, i know i am going to have to go a lot further to the right. So i place my Pointer on the RIGHT hand edge of the green, and ding the shot. Result is me way off the green to the LEFT hand side of the green. Nowhere near realistic at all.

As it is, and as i say, its only my opinion on this. But if WGT decide to stick with this, and dont give us the option to turn it on and off in ranked rounds, then im afraid thats it for me. I find it hard enough to get decent scores at most times, and having to go through this without that option will just drive me away.

Sidehill lies on St. George in the fairway scare me, much less the rough.  But, it's in a testing mode.  The original update said WGT would be listening to player feedback here.  I'm sure they will work on toning it down before making it a game-wide implementation.

But, I see your point and would be pissed, too, especially if I was using premium balls.  Maybe the prudent thing for people wanting to take the off-lies for a test drive would be to use the starters for a bit and save your cash.

In its present form there is no way to evaluate the product. It is so unrealistic. Iron shots and shots around the green that use to be 1 yard or less are not hard to get within 5 feet. Way over the edge.

I just played the new ball lie in a skins match with 3 others.

It makes the game more interesting... as all things,  there are good points and bad points..

I think, gone are a days for 30sec games... takes too long to try and figure out,  but with heaps of practice might be a bit quicker...

Looking at the green squares and try and work out where the arrows are moving is a bit hard when there is a timer going.

We were playing St.A  in low winds, which is not as bad as other courses and winds.

Sure it does make the game more interesting for us,  but geez... it is tough and can be a sole destroyer....lol   I can only imagine what it's going to be like in heavy cross winds... A Nightmare....lol

I quite like it actually....  but the beauty about this game is...  It's nice and simple...  I still don't understand why we have to make the game harder...

Maybe for the Elite it will be good for them.

We have to be careful what we wish for.
