Once again sorry for the sudden change in the live gamer videos.  This being said we are in a bind.  The video and ways to earn free credits are a double edged sword and we are not sure what to do about them.  On one hand they are by far the most complained about subject and highest level of unhappiness on the site. Unfortunately WGT has little to no control over what is offered and how they are redeem.  So we would be very happy to get rid of them and remove a very sore subject.  But if we get rid of them, like we almost did a few days ago, there will be little to no way for people to earn credits and we will make a lot of people unhappy.

If some one has a magic solution please let us know.  We are just as tired of the issues with offers as you are.

    WGTadmin2,

Thank you for the reply on these numerous credit issues. Unfortunately I do not think a lot of these companies are listening to us as a consumer, and believe they are more interested in getting their source of income from a broader market then here. Otherwise they would have paid attention to our issues here on this site. I think it would be better if brand names related to this site and golf in general would be more appropriate here. We could have the videos pertaining to the products already on this site and reward us with their virtual products. Nike could give a sleeve of balls for so many videos watched as well as other brand names. Surveys could go towards winning a club or maybe a set of irons. I think the golf industry would welcome this idea with open arms, it just makes sense. I am sure there are a lot of people here that play real golf as well and that would be more revenue for the golfing industry because more consumers would buy their golf products knowing that they are committed to stand by their customer.

    Happy Golfing!

    Joe

Surely it is down to you as the website owners to take responsibility for the integrity of the people who want to advertise on your site.

If they don't come up to standard then you get rid of them.

Personally, i wouldnt miss them if you did get rid of them. I have never been able to rack up any credits in any fast way at all here. It sure would save me a lot of time when i log on in future. It always took me over a couple of months to save enough credits for 1 set of balls. I am in the same boat as many here, in that i cant afford to pay out much any more after losing my job last year. But i do know that many like me in the States will be hit hard by this, as they where able to rack up credits fast. For me, get rid of them. You could always add durability to the balls i buy with real money to compensate, or something like that.

Not knowing the actual dollars you charge for the advertising part of this business more emphasis should be placed on videos directly for credits. Even if they are only worth one credit the entire carousel/views/redemption system could be bypassed.

I really appreciate that WGT attempts to find ways for some of us to play the game for free with upgraded "equipment." It would be terrible if we could only play using the free clubs and golf balls.

More emphasis on golf companies as advertisers and sponsors sounds like a very good idea. As the ads are targeted maybe some golf courses in the player's local area may want to join or book through an online link to verify the effectiveness of the ads. Some up and coming energy bar company could not only put their brand on the xp boost bars but provide ads directly for credits as well. There are also computer companies, natural food companies and a lot of retailers that could be approached.

I'm sure you use an outside service to get most (or all) of the ads directly for credits since you can't have staff in every country. They need to open up to a lot of companies that maybe don't fit within their tight ideas as to who might be willing to run ads for credits.

As a total newcomer to the game I find the videos invaluable. They helped pay for my first  club upgrade and allow me to use the slightly-better-than-stock balls.

I appreciate the impact the change is having on the more experienced players but to scrap the videos altogether would starve new players of a valuable helping hand at the start of their WGT experience.

"we would be happy to get rid of them"  ....of course you would, more cash in your pocket in the short term....at least you're honest about wanting everyone to pay to play...but an extremely poor choice of words there.

how many hits do you get on this site a day?? and you cant get an advertiser to step up and do something the right way for such a small cost to you to keep your customer base happy? I'm an econ major, i don't buy it.

    stay classy WGT,
