Here's a simple nugget to help your game if you're struggling to hit the ding and use any type of premium ball that slows down your meter.

Keep your normal club set in place but revert back to WGT Starter balls. Your meter will now be rocket propelled! Play 1-2 rounds with this and you'll gradually start getting close to the ding by the end of these games.

Now change back to your premium ball. The meter will feel much slower than it ever did before (even though it is of course the same speed you're used to playing with). Once you get over the inevitable few early clicks, your brain will readjust quickly to this new "slower" meter and dinging your shots becomes much easier.

It's a trick I've used consistently when hitting rocky patches of form and generally never fails to improve the standard of my game.

after using the starter balls with my 2.0 burners in current WGF tournament, I can safely say now I've reverted to my Nikes, my meter now appears to be stuck in one place its so slow lol

it was a fun round earlier James, really enjoyed struggling to a 33...it's the way forward I'm telling you WGT.

i have foud out that ...latest high end graphics card and playing with high revolution screen makes the meter easier to ding.....the meter on the latest mac os desktop with safari browser is very smooth and predictably easier to ding even with free balls....

its way much much better then my previous pc...the dell vostro 200....which is 10yrs old ..and a resolution of 1680 dpi......

If a person can "hit the ding" every time they are gonna be a superior player....and thats  the primary thing that separates the best players from normals.

The rest of the game is reading the lie, factoring wind and  doing the math for the  linear  distance.

In advance of your stroke one needs to be aware of which side of the ding is going to be enhance the result  their shot .....and in the case of the miss needs to miss the correct side of the ding  ...... (regardlessof what  club is in hand)

At the end of the day if you want a decent score and cant hit the ding you'd best have good shot reading ability  and some mathamatical skills that will get you close to where you need to be.

I find if you cross your eyes it makes the ding impossible to hit.  When you uncross them... boy does that feel a lot better.

No it is not. It missing the ding and ending up and a good spot instead that seperates those players. For some hitting the ding is a bad shot but I have said enough about that issue. Those that have the dinged approach shots go array know what I mean.

Not always about hitting ding.... sometimes better to miss ding into the wind...
