    gr8flbob:

    1. no Forum search functionality [period];

    2. No consolidated place to put uneven lies informational posts - for those kind enough to share successful tactics with the communit

    Good point, Bob. This turned into a pretty good discussion about them..........

    Great contribution Jim, well spotted.

    I will add my own experiences here next time I got the time to do it.

    I suppose people who played the "Links" series got a bit or pretty much advantage to the ones never did play the Links. I am using the same formulas to estimate the uneven side shots, although the up & down hill shots are still not precise enough, hitting short for the most due to the much lower fly of the ball.

    Cheers, Eric

    I'd have to agree with most here, the affects are far to exaggerated and have no resemblance to rlg, but likely after a month or so it will be charted to death and back to normal.

    Lol, agree mate, wish the top tour legends who disagree about playing the uneven lies were reading this, I am positive after some rounds checking the lie and estimating the effect will be a "normal procedure".

    Some people are just lazy & do not want changes to what they are good at it, adding a new "considerable factor" from fairways, rough or sand is certainly a good thing, more "realistic".

    WGT is doing great "testing" the feature adding only some official tournes for the legend level & above.

    I still believe the uneven lie will be a part of any tournament in the near future...lets start practicing!

    Agreed that info on Uneven Lies is very spread out:

    In addition to the thread that YJ referenced above, here's another thread (from pps 25-28) with some good tips on understanding what it's all about:

    This is from one of the very first threads (ignore the early pages with initial reactions based on the first, more extreme, release).

    Enjoy!
