It does not make good sense, to wait five minutes for a guy who leaves the game, for whatever reason, then when it's time to go back to the game for the players who waited, to be told there's an error, and still can't play. scrap that. My time isn't to be determined by someone else's connection, or desire to play! C'mon lets be real.

If the guy want to leave, he get the forfeitoption in matchgames, isnt it in strokegames too?? I havent been in that lobby yet, cause in wgtls we dont quit a game!

I agree.  This change is completely uncalled for.  I can understand having the reconnect timer screen when in a match where credits are on the line but there is no reason to do this during stroke play.  Every time someone quits, the rest of us are forced to go back to this screen and WAIT 5 MINUTES..... completely absurd.  And then when the timer runs down, it gives an error about disconnecting so it does not allow the remaining players to ever get back to their multi-player game.

    Hi

5 min wait period if a pretty good time frame for a full reboot/modem re-dial in and reconnect.

Yeah, we all sat there for five to get booted.  HUGE bug, not happy.  5 mins is a long time to sit and dislike the quitter. one and a half hours = 0 experience points.  Bad move WGT

For someone who wants to quit and leave his/her players in the lurch, there is sadly nothing I can think of that will satisfy all disappointed parties. For a computer crash or some other inadvertent disconnection, this "fix" is a great idea to get back to your fellow player instead of having to finish as a single. I agree that 5 minutes is a bit too long to wonder if the other player can or is willing to reconnect. I have played 2 games under this format and I was not able to finish either game due to a disconnect who never came back. I don't think this is having the desired result WGT intended. What I have also wondered is whether the quitter negatively affects the new "disconnect percentage" for the other players.

keep the disconnect %, reduce reconnect time to 3 minutes, tops.

Hi...i've sent through a report on this, but i just thought i'd touch base here too...a recent game (today 31 Aug 2012 - Australia) at Bethpage front 9, par 5 4th i had a game with 3 other people, at my shot off the tee, the 'Unexpected error message' came up...all 3 other players had reconnecting attached to their icons...so i waited...over 2 mins, then the wait time reset again to 5 mins...waited again, then another reset...so i ditched...now on restarting another game, i get the message that i didn't return to the previous game in time...Unfair...i waited more than what was required. Any ideas?

I understand that you're telling us that you waited for 5 mins and then had no opportunity to continue without the guy who left(?)

That would be a bug to be looked at by WGT - be sure to send them a bug report from the game screen.
