Round 2
To those who've still got Round 2 matches to play; cut-off is this
Friday at 8pm GMT. Again if a pair have got a match firmly arranged for
the Saturday (I appreciate a few people maybe in this position), then
I'll probably let it go ahead. If you are in this position, please use
the following RG's as a backup plan in-case you can't get on together:
Legend vs. Legend = Legend Olympic Club Front 9 RG
Tour Legend vs. Legend = Olympic Club Full 18 RG (first nine holes to count with back used for extras if required)
Again, please PM your cards so that once both players have finished the RG, I can post together in the forum.

The Tour is now getting close to the business end of the season with four weeks remaining. Week 10 sees the top 64 players (who’ve accepted their invitation) competing in a straight knockout format for WGF Tour ranking points. As always we can expect to see many shocks and surprises throughout, particularly with the level of player who’s competing in this tournament.
As this is a MP format, we have different challenges to face in regards to finishing the tournament. Week 10 has to be completed prior to the Tour Finals (W14). This gives up approximately 28 days to get this MP contest finished. There are six rounds to complete with R1 and R2 inevitably going to take the longest. I’ll therefore be keeping to the following timeframes:
Round 1 = 6 days (09/09/12 - 8pm GMT)
Round 2 = 5 days (14/09/12 - 8pm GMT)
Round 3 = 5 days (19/09/12 - 8pm GMT)
Quarter final = 4 days (23/09/12 - 8pm GMT)
Semi final = 4 days (27/09/12 - 8pm GMT)
Final = 3 days (30/09/12 - 8pm GMT)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The process to go through in respect of getting a match organised and played should be as follows:
1) Contact opponent immediately (preferably by wall post) to assess availability and whether you can get together in the designated timeframes
2) If this is positive and a time and date is agreed, go ahead and play you game in MP format on the designated course for that round (see below)
3) If it's not possible to get together with your opponent, you then need to contact either myself, Daskino or FJ3000 ASAP to make us aware that your match can't happen within the stated times
4) From there, each player needs to agree on one of the following formats:
a) playing a chosen RG / WGT single play tournament (to be chosen by tour management) and then posting the card in the forum; both cards will be cross referenced for a MP result to be created
b) for both to play with one of the 10 designated markers in SP format for cards to again be cross referenced in the forum
5) All matches need to be played through to a conclusion using extra holes where necessary
6) Submit the final result using the link provided; only the winning player should submit the final result
Point 4 should hopefully see all matches getting played within the stated timeframes and then tour management don’t need to step in to agree which player should proceed forward. We understand that this is not an ideal solution but it’s a solution which allows the MP tournament to move forward with momentum rather than getting stuck on a few random matches.
As soon as a match can be played (both players have beaten their opponent from a previous round), they are able to start arranging (and playing) their next game. You don’t need to wait for the players from a previous round to complete all their matches. This again keep the tournament progressing forward and will allow more time further down the line.
All matches should be played in RANKED format over the following courses:
Round 1 = Bethpage Black Back 9
Round 2 = Olympic Front 9
Round 3 = Royal St Georges Back 9
QF (R4) = Oakmont Front 9
SF (R5 = St Andrews Back 9
Final (R6) = Congressional Full 18
When a match is completed, the result should be submitted using the following form. The tournament bracket can be seen in the leaderboard link and will be updated as the MP tournament progresses.
