It really doesn't take long. If a topic looks like it's going to take off like this one did, it's easy to open a Word document and paste the thread link as I read it. All it takes then is to copy and paste the links into threads like this one.
Pointing out all of those addresses would not be necessary if WGT people were really interested in fostering better discussions and actually cared about anyone's opinion. A good forum moderator would be picking one or two of those threads and deciding where the discussion should take place. When a new thread is started about a hot topic a post to the effect of "Please join the discussion about this topic over here" should be placed by the moderator, including a thread link. Makes it much easier to monitor discussions and topics while getting them into the areas of the forums where they belong. Immediately upon posting that link the moderator should just remove the ability to reply to the repetitive or wrongly located thread.
As for the point, yes, it is a valid one.
