This morning i was haveing a 3 player game at St Georges, first of all there was problems with a player and we waited 5 mins for him to reconnect and then later on the same thing happened to myself and i was told there was an error and to turn off the page and try again. I did this and then i was reintroduced to the game, ok, we then had a wgt error and when i wanted to continue the game I was told that I was disqualified for dissconnecting 2 times. How many player at 4 shots in front and 2 holes to play, would dissconnect, so then why was i disqualified

    Hi Rody,

You think you've had problems, played 3 rounds this morning, 2 @ S Andrews, both underpar by 1 & 2 repectively, and 1 round at Kiawah, finished 2 under, and no problems so far. I'm tinkering on the edge of progressing from tour pro to master, so any time now hopefully?.............plus played 120 days straight!!

Played with a guy yesterday at Kiawah front 9 with no problems, so he then invited me as a 'friend' which i accepted, then this afternoon he invited me again, this time a full 18, so on we go!

After 10 holes i was 4 under, got to the par 5 11th, he was in the sand some way down the fairway, hit my second to within 3ft, guess what?..............disconnection, i could not believe it, so i was directed back to the login screen twice and on 2 occassions waited for him to reconnect which he never did, i thought its blown, so was it a bad internet connection, bad sportsmanship, or WGT?

Anyway i came back to the beginning and was allowed to continue all be it alone, by the way i missed the 3 footer, think i was bit rattled by this time??

So hang in there, it does sometimes let you continue alone if your patient, but WGT definately need to sort something and quick

    Regards

yea I suppose your right andwhy67, we just have to hang on and then, just wait for the next problem. What I cant understand is to why someone from WGT come up with an answer for this problem as they also have a new system on percentages on who are the main quiters but if they have said that i dissconnected twice this morning, then on my % it looks like i am a quitter, and, I never even quit once, i just followed their instructions. Thanks for the interest mate,  Cheers, Rody

Yes, and I just waited through 3, five minute waits for other players to connect back on in the lobby, just for wgt to say there was an error please try again later.  I am very glad to see the system put into place, having a way to see if players are quitters will be nice "IF" wgt will get the bugs out, right now you do not know if the players or wgt are the quitters.

I just went to play, and wow guess what all that waiting, wgt quits stops the game and the A$$wipes drop me 3% for their error BS wgt.

Probably a penalty for this post

i am almost certain that there are built in parameters to the game by wgt that cause disconnections or as it was known being booted, 1 players bad shot can affect the other players round and so on, it has happened to me and friends far to many times for it to be a coincidence. i was playing a round that would have made me level up from master to tour master which i now have, but on that round was playing the perfect round, then i hit a great t shot on par 3 st andrews which i have saved and it hits the pin and bounces 40yrds away to blow the hole and the round after that lol. there are definitely things that happen depending on the way the round you are playing is going and the number of players in the round, if on a 2 player round and 1 player hits a bogey early in the round will never be a high scoring round for either player, i have found if u have a 3rd player and 1 player hits a bogie, the other 2 can still have great round for some reason, lots of weird things happen in this game, and even hitting the perfect shot does not always act as it should at times.

Thanks Chas for the interest, it seems I have started something off here, but, you are right in what you say in that, other players think that you are a quitter and in fact, you are the innocent player,
