Good luck for all, but specially for ROW Team, i'll try to learn something at streaming matches.

Congratulations to all who made the teams - I look forward to seeing some of the streamed matches.

    TDHarvey:
I accept I didnt make it, should have played better and not hoped for a captains pick that I knew would never come. That being said it is an absolute smack in the face for guys to play every week and not even be considered

Tough break TDHarvey, I hear your pain, but it is a tough call for captains, you may have been considered, but the only way to ensure a spot is to make the points for a guaranteed spot.... It works the same in RL Ryder Cup and in many other sports - as a captain or coach - you need to balance "known" factors with new talent - and the only way for new talent to really make the big time is to unequivocally prove it to the old dogs. At least in Ryder Cup terms there is an objective criteria to guarantee a place, in other team sports (I'm thinking Rugby or Football) - you could have the season of your life as a rookie and still not get picked, cos the coach has gone for "old faithful" who has served well in the past.

There is another element in Ryder Cup - the format of the matches vs the qualifying events.  Most of the Ryder Cup is team/matchplay - and that is significantly different game to a straight up stroke play round - hence captains would be more inclined to go with a "known" matchplay beast.

I stuffed up the qualifying nicely myself - will have to try again next year - I had to play through my biggest WGT slump so far (still in progress - just shot over par for the first time this year - in this weeks free Multiround).

Anyway - good luck to everyone in Cup - I will be avidly following scores and any streaming that is available.  GO ROW!

DrusstheLegend- two of those picked played 2 or less of 9 qualifying events. I didnt "stuff' up the qualifying. I played all 9 events and finished in the points in all of them.

A new talent? Ive been here 3 and a half years fella. The captain may be a New talent joining less than a year ago, but he was elected. Also I've played nearly all of these guys on the teams in tournaments and matches. Win some lose some.

    Anyways, GL USA.

Sorry bud, never meant to imply that you "stuffed" up your qualifying - was just saying that I stuffed up my side of it.....

No problem Druss just discussing the situation. Sorry if i appeared combative. I've  said my piece, time for me to let it be. We have enough division on this site and the world. GL to all and ill be rooting for Team USA.
