It had everything you'd want in a match (and some things you wouldn't!). Great play from Josh and Rich, congratulations to you both and also the guys yesterday

hi all, i checked schedual this morning, there was nothing posted, come home a few hours later and a match has been played. I thought  this was set up to let those of us who care to follow , know when a match is pending. There is no reason any longer for me to check the schedual every few hours if an entire match can be schedualed and played in between checks.......that said , congrats to both teams for what appears to have been a great match. Special congradulations to team USA for a win against a very talented team.   GO  USA.

Indeed, this is not the way the competition is being thought of. The problem is, that a 4 people match often come together spontaneously as it is really tough to organize four 2-3hour time spans at different time zones some days before the round. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I can promise you though, that every match of the singles will be announced before it is played and that most of them will be video-broadcasted with the rest of them probably being chat-broadcasted.

Furthermore, I am working during the day as most of you probably do. Like this, there is a possibility that I miss the perfect moment to post a planned match in the schedule here and there. I give my very best though to organize this tournament and hope you will understand the problems of four player games.

To all participating players: Please post your plans of playing a match at least 2 hours before it is played, ideally 1 day before it is played in either of the Ryder Cup threads. Thanks!

    Cheers, Hans

We made final arrangements for the match last night around 12am, my apologies for not getting this submitted.  It was a hit or miss game today because I had a meeting to attend shortly after this game was supposed to start.  It just so happened that the 4 of us were able to make it.  We were originally scheduled to play tomorrow.

I will make sure that all other matches are posted.  Speaking of, Mrs. Luck and I are supposed to play later today between 3pm and 4pm my time(eastern).  This is a hit and miss game as well.  Hopefully all can be here to play.

EDIT:  This was posted in the scheduling thread.

FJ3K & AllyK vs Jcolson & Legendcrusher.... possibly playing 4pm GMT today if not today then tomorow.

hi all, i did see you had posted in the thread, i on the other hand had only checked the actual schedual. Yes, i do understand how hard it must be to plan a match between 4 people the world over. I know a lot of time and effort  must go into organizing an event such as this, and for that i am grateful. Its just that i came home from finishing a job and saw that a match had been played and was a bit bummed. But like i said, i understand. No more complaints from me, promise. I know these are 24 of the best, and i am grateful for just the chance at following some of the matches. Again, good luck to both teams, and thank you. GO USA.

Got our match in with Carmine and Alex, solid play from those guys.  ROW wins 5&3.  Fantastic show of putters from them.  I thing my favorite shot of the match was Carmines.  I hit an approach shot to the cup about 11 inches out.  He had a shot from 40-50 to answer and played it perfect to the T.  Dropped the ball to 12 inches.  Second favorite was Carmines also...lol  He drained a 37 foot birdie on #10.  Again, well played you two!!

Good luck in the next stages.

Third match in the books, first blue on the scoreboard. Sounds like a great game, well played everybody.

3/8 first round matches played, the Ryder Cup is on it's way. Good luck everybody!

We came out hot; 5 birds in first 5, and 5 UP after 7. They replied with hitting tee to 2 ft on 8, and still Carmine drained the 37fter to halve hole. Some great hitting got them back in the game after, winning 3 holes in a row. Found our range again, and finally won 5 & 3.

They did not have much luck, there were several big deviations, but some awesome golf too. My partner was simply superb. Enjoyed that. Thanks Rich and Becky for a good game.

We are on the scoreboard then.
