    Hi all

Not sure this is the right place but here goes. I am just wondering if it would be possible for WGT to introduce a stapleford competion. I know it would mean a bit of work for the powers that be, but feel it would be worth it. I look forward to hearing what you think.

C'mon, man....in this case spelling is very important.

I doubt that a stableford comp will happen, As we are all deemed to be scratch golfers (no handicap system in place) the only advantage would be for the odd multiple blowouts we have. For stableford scoring to work there would have to be handicap system in place - and that will not happen.

The amount of programming changes and time would far outway the benefit.

I suppose you could try it on a small scale within a CC Comp, but would require either screen shots of the score cards (or played as a challenge) so you could then assign the points from the scorecards, or as a M/P stroke round between 4 people. Too much work for little reward in my opinion.

Why is it more important to jump on my spelling mistake than answer the question?

    for that matter, what's stapleford

there's been some mention of a stableford league here ... do a search for it in the forums. The thing about modified stableford is that birdies and eagles are rewarded more than bogeys are penalized; this is supposed to encourage risk-taking and make it (real golf) exciting. However, if everyone is shooting 12 under and not making bogeys (as usual on WGT) it doesn't really work. It would be good for like Tour Pro and below, I guess.

Even when you have nothing to say, you still say it.

But if you were making a joke it would be ok ?...Or better yet tell us all how everything on WGT for you is perfect again. We didn't hear you the first 25 times.

When you get old you do tend to make mistakes as you will find out. I was told when I joined I would find a friendly bunch of people. I think I have the wrong site. I have been picked on in matches plays for being English and when I make a post I get flack for making a spelling mistake. I do like playing here but I tell you from today on I shall not be making any more posts, plus I am going back to playing stroke play games by myself. I do not think there are any spelling mistakes but if there is all I can say is "Kiss my ****." Snowy 64
