Your average resets when you change tiers so 68 would be correct 2x 34. For the next 50 rounds your average will move up and down according to each score. When you've completed 50 rounds your average will only go down. I found it best just to ignore the average and just enjoy the game.

When you move up in tiers you average will fluctuate for a while (how many rounds for each tier, not sure off hand, its been posted before if you want to look it up).   Don't sweat it too much, average doesn't mean a whole lot for various reasons.

It's not that easy, may have worked once or for a while, but it always depends on the other numbers in the mix (more general speaking, depends on your current average). As for me, mid July a 33(=66) would move my average of then 65, now it doesn't any more.

If you didn't care for the details before, don't you start now. Don't worry about our average as it will float for a while, no need to protect it by aborting games. In the end, only the best scores will count, so why not play till the (bitter) end and rehearse those finishing holes, too?

Have fun & hit it straight m8!

Congrats on making Tour Master  aftertherain.

I have  just made it to legend. As a TM I kept a record of how my average went down regarding my scoring.

Here are some examples of how my average went down.

Av 68.70 scored -5 av went down to 68.50 (on 9 holes)

Av 65.48 scored -3 av went down to 65.44 (on 9 holes)

Av 63.56 scored -9 av went down to 63.50 (on 18 holes)

Av 61.32 scored -5 av went down to61.30 (on 9 holes)

When av got to around 61 only a score of -5 would lower my average ( on 9 holes, or -10 on 18 holes). I hope this gives you an insight to what you have to do to reach legend.

All on par 72`s (edited after reading alosso`s reply). Only a rough guide for aftertherain, that`s all it was meant to be.

Best of luck, hit em straight.....bladelad

Sorry, but that means nothing without the Par of the course (half), because not +/- Pars but gross scores count for the average.

"-5" is from 29 to 31, depending on the course. Furtheron, you'll have to double the 9 hole scores to get comparable 18 hole scores.

A 58, 60 or 62 results from your notice if you wanna talk about averages. And then you need to know which former, higher score would be replaced from the average calculation.
