You are using the WGT Starter clubs which is one of the two default sets given to every player when they start the game. They are pretty short on distance and don't have very much precision. Some of the players you are playing against have probably purchased or won upgraded clubs from the WGT Pro Shop. The Pro Shop offers a full line of upgrades from drivers to irons to putters (even balls) each with their own enhancements like extended distance and extra precision.
