As we're coming to a conclusion of the WGF Tour, I'm really keen to get feedback from the players who signed-up for this event. We had over 230 players sign-up to play but we're now down to around 75 per week playing regularly.

I'm keen to know your thoughts on the following:

    - What haven't you liked about the tour?

    - What improvements could be made in a future tour?

    - If you signed-up but didn't play a single event, why did you take this decision?

    - If you signed-up, played a few events (less than 6) and then stopped, why did you take this decision?

I'm looking for honest opinions in this thread (I'm thick skinned so really want to hear the negative stuff a lot more than the positive). If I'm to run a similar event in the future, it's really important that I know what will get more people involved throughout the entire tour rather than just for a few tournaments.

    James

    - What haven't you liked about the tour?

Duration: some weeks less might be better for me, even if I know that a longer tour means you can play more events, just in case you can't play every week ...

    - If you signed-up, played a few events (less than 6) and then stopped, why did you take this decision?

I took a break of some weeks, summer maybe it's not the best period to run a Tour ...

For the rest, you and your team did a great job James, I really appreciated all your efforts to run all in the right way ...

Congratulations indeed, this is a great success for sure !

And congratulations too to all the players involved, I always found great sportsmanship :)

This tour has been going at break neck speed,I have never seen a community comp run at this pace keep so many players captivated,Maybe it runs a tad too quick e.g joining  up the events, sometimes its a tad tricky to keep  up with all thats going on but thats just me lol,What yer has accomplished here so far is amazing !!  I never thought Coolswings tour could be matched but yer has done it James:)

    Thanks for this initial feedback.

Please keep telling me what's not worked for you. I'm very interested to hear from players who never got going with the tour. How could I have run it differently so I could engage you to get involved the next time around?

James you did a great job, running this tour, and keeping it on track, with the standings up to date almost as fast as when they happened.

The one part of the tour that was a thorn was trying to find a partner to play with. Sometimes it took a while. Like I had mentioned before if there was a way to set the next tournament in the future as a CC type thing, then you create the game and if a guy has to go solo for what ever reason he can.

Thanks again for all your hard work

    Gary

James, I agree with all that's been said.  For you to keep this on track was amazing.  That being said, 18 hole rounds took a while to play and organize.  Would be nice if we could do two nine hole segments for the final 18 hole rounds, I'm sure some people might not have had the time to play them due to schedule.

Other than that, great job, and I look forward to the last week, can't wait to see what you have for a surprise.

Without question, amazing job performed by you Jim, and your staff.  Amazingly smooth, the tournament pace kept everyone on there feet and captivated alot of my browsing time in these wgf tour forums, well written write ups and tournament summaries.    You've got passion buddy!    Huge Hugs!

Yep I've taken this point onboard already and have given players the flexibility to split up 18 holes into two segments on R3 this week. Very valid point by Andreap and yourself and I think provided the required greenshots / cards are taken as normal, this should provide additional flexibility to get your games played on time.

Please keep suggestions coming in as to how this event can be bettered.

As a little precursor to the tour finals, I will let you know that there will be one curveball round and the rest will be fairly standard. There won't be any use of uneven lies however just to relax your minds on this front :)
