i've just experimented with some RG's after a long time of not trusting the conditions they present...

my conclusion is again that the RG's make no sense as far as wind, yardage and such...

if u happen to get some break then enjoy it... I can't explain what i just witnessed as far as feeling like i had no control in any way to play my shots...

i don't like to WD from a tourney so i played em all out and the scores reflect the interesting mysterious conditions as i played... ex: played kiawah with almost no wind and the ball was moving as if there was 20+ wind   ....  RG's another scam now?

no complaint, but really wondering if the players see this in their rounds...

    cheers

Both Kiawah Island RG's have heavy wind conditions, so it would be tricky to have almost no wind. On what hole did it happen? Cause a few on the back 9 have some strange tendencies. For example, approach on the far pin on 13th tends to carry to the left, approach on the far pin (the new one) on the 15th carries more than it should, so it's best to pretend the distance shown is 2-3y shorter. And don't get me started on the 16th approach. If you miss ding (late) by a hair on that shot, you'll end up so far right you won't know what hit you. I tried something once, did the tiny late miss, ended up 7y to the right (from 85y away with low wind). Then shot back to the basically same spot I was before (practice round, of course) and took the shot again, only this time missing late by much, much more (like 1/4 of the distance to the side marker). I landed 4y to the right. But these holes always play that way, so it might have been some single play RG's jitters on your part, we all have those sometimes. It takes continuous RG playing to get the zen going.
