every time i get on wgt,i have to reset the settings. how can i correct that?
Turn the option off that says "clear your cache when browser is closed".
If I knew what browser you used I could tell you specifically.

you have to go to chrome's option, under the hood and uncheck the setting which clears temp files/cache/cookies on exit.
that will fix the problem.
