Yesterday I drove my ball close to the bunker in a little dip in the fairway. I dinged my approach shot straight as an arrow but the ball flew 50 yards let of the pin. I landed in the same place today and the ball did the same thing but went right. Does the slope effect the ball flight this drastically. I didnt even hit the green although I was aiming at the pin? Thanks.
I know that spot. Been there many times.
It's not slope but the above bunker/hill requiring a loftier club to clear it. Hitting longer club will hit it and deflect or worse get stuck in sand.
