I'm the owner of the Southern Hills Country Club and simply don't have time to run it any more.  We've been through some changes and most of the active players have left so I just don't want to spend what little time I have doing something for the members who remain who aren't participating.

We've got 19 current members with space for 30 and if you'd like to take it over and make it yours, I'll be glad to hand over the reins.

Anyone interested in a two year old country club?  Low mileage?

A CC with 19 members who don't participate? Bargain!

Congratulate your longest member with his new Country Club, Pass the ownership on to him/ her

Checked your roster, and noticed some haven't played since 2011. Why are they still in your Club? And it's been a while for most of your members, Why don't you just cut all the fat out, even if it means you only have 3 or 4 left, come out lean and trim and start recruiting new members. Be creative in your approach. recruit people who are new to WGT, they will be very active if they like this game. Go after pro's and Tour pro's and grow together. Hang in there. Good Luck.

It's been over a month since all but two of you have played. Sorry, no offence but how hard can it be. Bones is 100% correct, you need to remove those players & recruit new ones. After that if you feel the same way, give up the CC to a new member who is excited about the ownership reins. An active CC is a blast, other than some health issues ours has as active a roster as any out there. For me it's the greatest. Hang in there, with new members I think you may see it differently.

I couldn't agree more.  Due to the other players, most of the active players have bailed and I don't have time to weed out the dead wood.  I'd offer to one of the other active players but they're all gone and with three kids, a full time job and an invalid mother in law who lives with me, I simply don't have the time.  Want to change things, join up and go at it!  If I had the time, I'd be doing all of the things you suggest and used to before my MIL"s stroke.

On the other hand, if there are 29 people interested in joining a country club and actively participating, let me know and I'll be happy to have you.  I'll prune out the dead wood as I get the chance.

Just close it down and join a CC if you are too busy to run one... sounds like an easy answer to me....
