I agree with TBE, I have used 5 or 6 different browsers with WGT and the Maxthon3 is by far the best that I have seen with it.  My only issue is that lately I seem to be getting some load issues in mid game that I have never had an issue with but for other use it is great and works better than any other browser that I have used.

I don't spend money here and my game is fine. I also use Maxthon.

I use Google Chrome and I think it has nothing  to do for the performance of the game that is WGT causing  your problem.

I have been on here so many time talking about how disgusted I am with the way this game is monitored.  I just finished 9 holes on Kiawah at + 3 which is my own WGT curse. See I have a R9 Driver and Taylor made Irons, that I got with survey credits and the balls used to be Callaway or Nike but the survey companies won't let me take a survey so I'm using the cheapest WGT 0 distance 1 dot backspin to play with.

I downloaded the Maxthon Cloud Browser on a suggestion from one of my friends. It worked real well  the first 3 days. Meter was smooth and reacted to my mouse when I pressed the left button on time.

I guess WGT has figured out a way to get around that because the meter today ran sometimes slow and then it would be fast. Also I dont understand when the wind is in your face and you hit the ball on the ding and it goes right of the flag when others do the same shot, their's goes straight to the flag.

I have even gone to setting and turned WGT access to load on my computer off. Still things are not right. This is evidence of a VEM (Virtual Ethernet Module) being placed on a player for the purpose of getting them to upgrade equipment  or get disgusted and leave. They don't care with 3500 new people a month coming in this "FREE" game.

I have tried to tell them it is wrong to do this that people will realize that the ball there using isn't going as far as their opponents is and they see what kind it is or the clubs the same. The other thing that needs to be addressed is the speed of the meter from the clubs or balls. When I played golf , the golf pro that taught me, years ago, said  to swing the club the same speed each time. This would give me an even flow to the ball not rushed or jerky. He said  let the club and ball do the work.

Forty years later with a 4 handicap, I had to quit because of heal reasons i won't go into. That is why I enjoy this game so much but can't afford to spend money on it and the surveys have stopped working for me to get credits.  I'm 64 and with my ,10 yrs younger still working and me on Soc. Security we can pay our bills but with not much left over. The company I worked for had just started their 401 K  program 3 years before so their isn't enough there to spend on things we don't need.

I am sorry if I have become a sad old man here but  I have grown with WGT with some of the changes and I have not liked some of them. It can be very frustrating when a ball doesn't go where I hit it or as far as I hit . Maybe you think this  is more like a real course. My question then is , "have you played a lot on any course over and over many times and we're you successful in reaching goals with better scores. Did the course all of a sudden change and your balls went all over and your putts were either short by an inch or past the flag by 6 ft.

Why does WGT play with the distance meter?  Meaning when we have a 27 ft putt why is the meter set to 100ft? Trying to trick us?  Real golf gentlemen is a judgement call made by the golfer and advise from the caddie. Every golfer on the Pro Tour has a caddie that they might ask about a distance. They play on manicured greens that are very similar to the practice greens they tried their putting skills on before the game.

No one is going to trick them by making their distance longer then they want it. They make that decision. So I think if you want to be the best Virtual Golf Game ever then you might want to consider some of these ideas. I still say, it was more fun and still a challenge, when I first started. I wish it would be that way again. Have a Nice Day.

Have always used Chrome myself - but that pepperflash variant is very bad - screws up the ding - and the sound - so have pepperflash permanently disabled....

Yes, heard good things about the maxathon - and it is a hassle dealing with this pepperflash problem - so hope it doesn't get any worse!!

There is a new kid on the block so to speak. Someone recommended Water Fox last week. It is a Fire Fox based browser for 64 bit machines and so far I am very pleased with it.

As far a Chrome goes, I stopped using it for WGT almost 2 years ago. My reason for not using it was I had too many flash crashes. And not just here but on almost every site that had flash content. It crashed on Yahoo mail more than any other site.It was a hassle to uninstall flash and reinstall it 2 and 3 times a week.It is more stable now for normal every day browsing but for this game there are many other browser that perform so much better.

For me the best 4 are Water Fox, Maxthon 3, Comodo Dragon and SRWare Iron. All 4 are more stable and don't have pepper flash.

I also use Maxthon3 without an issue, no real meter issues, occasional twitches, but that can be due to any reason at all. Just let the meter pass and reset, no harm done. I too used to use Chrome, but could not be bothered with the flash issues with the game. Also with Maxthon3 I have the gamescreen loaded as a favorite, so can scroll between that and my CC forum etc. very easily.

As to the earlier post about the balls and the difficult meter, I use the B-ES ball without a problem, I don't expect it to stick to a green like the Nike/Cally, but it is certainly not a liability. I can still get into the 20s when hitting the ding (which is only down to my reflex, not to any "issues") and it seems all too easy to blame WGT for not being as good as is hoped.

Your welcome, the only hitch in the ointment is if you try and use flash in another browser somewhere else you need a reboot as the 64 bit flash and 32 bit flash do not play nice together.

WGTPizza always recommended Chrome and someone had best results with Chrome and Pepperflash.

    Just saying...
