I've never had a problem with Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Safari, Internet Explorer or many other browsers....I just prefer Maxthon for playing WGT. I only use chrome for browsing the net and watching online stuff *cough*cough :)

It's not what's the best browser, it's what browser works best for you.

Edit: my only worry with maxthon is that it comes from China.... so is it safe???

what makes Chrome, Firefox or Internet Explorer any safer? Just cause they're of UK or US  origin......just curious :)

been using Max for almost a year now and never had one security issue with it.

i think i've tried just about every browser there is for playing this game and i've found Maxthon to be the most stable.  I can not ever play a game when using Chrome because the meter is just too erratic.  Comodo Dragon is also good and you can import your Chrome settings into it.

I don't think so, when uninstalling you have to go through a rigamarole of registry edits to get things back to normal. It does a total hijack of the system including for whatever reason it may have, makes changes to my outlook settings.

You would never notice the changes it makes unless you try and uninstall it, that's when all heIl breaks lose on my computer.

In addition I'm not impressed with meter performance.

Not with a 10 foot ever again will I go near it.

Maxthon Cloud is my choice , i swapped over from Maxthon 3 about 4 weeks ago and am very pleased . Maxthon 3 was great also but i really enjoy playing WGT with Cloud .

There is a new kid on the block so to speak. Someone recommended Water Fox last week. It is a Fire Fox based browser for 64 bit machines and so far I am very pleased with it.

    .....

For me the best 4 are Water Fox, Maxthon 3, Comodo Dragon and SRWare Iron. All 4 are more stable and don't have pepper flash.

You always say your meter is perfect B2B, why do you keep switching browsers?

I agree with the 'what's best for you' thinking. In saying that I took advice from these very forums a while back and tried/installed Maxthon, worked a treat, then an updated version was released (Maxthon3?) and just could not get the meter to be stutter free. I'd enjoyed using the earlier version with it's add-on's and was a tad disappointed with how poor it performed for me at this end.

I've since went back to an earlier version of Adobe Flash Player (10,3,183,5), disabled pepper and added a 'flag' to my Chrome desktop shortcut that allows old versions of the aforementioned Adobe Flash  to run without the 'Run this time?' message continually popping up and all seems none too bad at the moment.

    Happy hittin' folks.

    :O)

I am an experimenter. Always willing to try something new.If it works, fine. If it does't then I have learned something that might help someone else. Unlike you who just keep using something you know does't work well and blame WGT's code!

The point is:  It should work.  But it doesn't with WGT.  However, it (FF) while works nicely for me everywhere else.

How can Chrome be the most widely used browser in the world and not work with WGT?  You think the whole world disables PepperFlash?
