Cheers Alosso, have just looked - Couldn't see the Z-Satin but have a 50 yd ATV. Now its the choice between that and the 60yd Cleveland CG15 which is probably the better bet moving forward.

As for the starters hybrid, I recall using this once a round if at all but used my wedges a heck of  a lot more.

twominusone, I just joined a CC on an invite this afternoon. The match I was referring to was this morning before I joined. I just wanted to make sure I was not breaking some unwritten protocol about setting up an unfair match. My opponent seemed rather indignant at what I was playing a match with.

    alanti:
Where I find the lob wedge (for me) useful is the for the 40 yard shot (i find this distance tough using a full shot using a 75 yard wedge and have not yet found a 64 degree wedge for this distance - open to advice :)

L42 64 degree ping wedge (60y) with 80% power and full bs should get you within a yard or 2 every time.

I have to agree about the uselessness of a hybrid.  My 3-wood is 240 and my 3-iron is 220.  My PW (part of the set) is 125.  My wedges are 50, 75, and 105.  I do look forward to buying irons that are 120-225 versus the 125-220, but that's just picky.

    LOL - same here!

We are in good company though - Bollox is sticking to it as well. He has 50 - 75 - 100 in the bag. BTW, three different brands.

The Z-Satins were discontinued when they brought out the ATV's. The 64 degree(60 yard) Cleveland punches to 50 yards but drop off 2 avatar movements gets you pretty close to 40 yards. And around the green using pitch instead of chip it can be a game changer. Saves many pars and have also pitched in many many birdies in the past 2 or 3 months,

What I have is the 60 degree(80 yard) Cleveland the 64 degree(60) yard Cleveland and I switch back and forth between the 54 degree(110 yard) Z-Satin and the 54 degree(105 yard)Ping W as my third. And at times I will drop the 3 wood and add the 64 degree(50) yard Z-Satin as my 4th wedge.
