Awhile ago I asked for help at how to play the dreaded 18th on Oak....

The response was fantastic by all..

    That time has come again...

What is the best way to play the 18th on Cabo. It's really busting my... you know what....lol

Most of the time i have a Boge....  a par is good and rare...  Every now and again I luck it for a bird..

Any thoughts would be great :)

I must say I luv playing the course....  but the last gets me all the time....lol

Not played too often but I leave a 10/12 footer uphill..play for par a birdie is a bonus and a  2/3 in 10 chance.

Others will prob have a better solution than that.....Andy

    there are really 2 ways:

I played it mostly on legends ad champ greens:

    1. hit below the hole, 10ft or 50ft, doesn't matter it's pretty straight and uphill so you can be aggresive.

    2. go for it if you have a great yardage, but anything over the flag, very tough par.

Great replays and advice. Chips-ins were great..

Cabo #18 is not as straight forward as Oak#18 Front pin.

Below the hole.... putt longer than the hole and let it role back in.. Hopefully,  it won't roll back to ya feet....lol

    Thanks Everybody.... great help :)

I just make sure i'm always land RIGHT side of flag and if it runs down the hill, too bad, it will still be a par.  Trying to land close to the pin is very risky you could land on the shelf to the left of the hole and its going to be bogey territory, anything above right from the hole will also be bogey territory as the angle of your putt will always make the ball approach hole then roll down hill for 20 feet.  Best just to play safe and make sure you are any where right side of hole.  As Icon mentioned, Distance doesn't matter, as long as you land any where on the green right side of pin.

A good tip that I picked up off Kriztjan is to hit the drive into the waste bunker right of the fairway (just above the beach).

Normally leaves you with a sandy 15% or 20% lie - BUT with an almost direct line at the pin.  The lie will take off most of the spin and if you hit a bump and run you should be able to keep it below (right of) the hole.  Don't overcook the shot or you are left up on the shelf above the hole.
