Surely that can't be right, 7 under par for 9 holes.

At that rate I'm gonna need another coupla hundred 29's to make TL.

    Madness.

Is there avg you need to hit to make T/L? I haven't seen one mentioned . .

    sixty 60

Actually thinking about it a little more, my 29 was on the back 9, so I was quite chuffed, the front is so much easier, which leads me to think, just as courses have a slope rating in RL, why don't WGT introduce a rating for all their courses here.

I don't think a 32 at RSG back compares to a 32 at Oakmont, yet both scores will yield the same result in your average.

60 avg, and 500 ranked rounds as a legend, i believe. Keep going John, you will make it soon.

hah, well a 29 only drops my average .01

It's just the nature of numbers & averages.

Believe it's only 100 ranked rounds as a Legend.  Once you get 500 rounds, your average only calculates the lowest 500 scores.  I could be wrong, but that is how I view it.

Well, another 29 this time at Kiawah, another miserly 0.03 off me average.

    This is beyond tedious.

I've been saying the same thing for months...

I'm pretty sure all the courses aren't counted equally. Shoot that 7 under at Oakmont and see what happens.

Thanks, I never really noticed. I've asked in the past but no one pointed it out.

Get used to it my friend!

With a divisor of 500, you need 5 strokes to produce a .01. You will experience good rounds around 30 not moving your visible ave. at all, because a .002 will be rounded off.

    Alas,...

... There will be a difference in -7s on STA and on OAK because one counts as 2x29=58 and the other as 2x28=56.

Gross scores go into the calculation, not relatives to Par.
